All Students are Stars

Walk of Fame Animated codes - ImageChef.com

All students are special in their own unique ways. Each student needs to be recognised for their abilities and not their disabilities. Sometimes the disability hides the true person and you must look beyond the disability to find the unique talents and special gifts of each individual.

I think this is so true. It is especially true fpr teachers. They really need to recognize the abilities and disabilities of their students. If they do this, they can help their students to learn more effectively and to feel good about themselves.

I agree that you need to find out who the whole person is and not just know them as a person who can't do something. Children with disabilites has so much to offer and cannot be forgotten. They are children as well and have so much potential.

Students shouldn't just be recognized if they are smart and talented. Just because a student may have a disability that doesn't mean that they don't have their unique abilities. Students should all be recognized for any abilites that they have.

You are exactly right. Many students fear that the people around them, especially their peers and teachers, focus on their disabilities. Teachers need to help and encourage students, and let them know that they are not being judged.

I think that your insight to children with disabilities is right on. I really like that fact that you said that the disabilities hide the students real talents is very well said. To be a good teacher you will need to know all of your students and their different and unique talents, and help them learn how to harness thouse talents to assist them in their futures.
